We are seeking a skilled HR Professional with manufacturing experience to join our team and support various HR functions including recruiting efforts, benefit administration, onboarding, union grievances, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR principles, manufacturing industry knowledge, and the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
Responsibilities:
Recruiting Efforts:
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
- Source, screen, and interview candidates for various positions within the organization.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from job posting to offer negotiation and onboarding.
Benefit Administration:
- Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits.
- Coordinate open enrollment processes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Onboarding:
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation sessions and completion of necessary paperwork.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
- Conduct follow-up activities to gather feedback and address any concerns during the onboarding period.
Union Grievances:
- Serve as a liaison between management and union representatives to address employee grievances.
- Investigate complaints, disputes, or conflicts and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all union-related activities and communications.
Employee Relations:
- Proactively address employee relations issues and provide guidance to managers on conflict resolution strategies.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints or misconduct allegations, ensuring fair and consistent treatment.
- Implement policies and procedures to promote a positive work environment and enhance employee morale.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in HR roles within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Experience with unionized environments and handling union grievances.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in HRIS software and MS Office applications.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred but not required.
