Job Description - Human Resources Manager

Responsible for the human resource functions of the library, including payroll, benefits and compensation, employee relations, training and development, and workforce planning and employment. Support the management team and provide leadership during library-wide initiatives that may strengthen the Library Staff and/or strategically and positively affect the Library's standing in the community.


The Woodridge Public Library contracts with an outside firm to conduct background checks of all employees to whom a position is offered.


Employment with the Library is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check in accordance with the following policy. All applicable federal and state laws will be followed during the background check process. All background check information will be kept confidential unless there is a business need for additional disclosures. The Library performs criminal background checks for perspective employees 18 years of age or older.
