Job Description - Human Resources Manager



MHG Hotels is seeking a skilled and collaborative Corporate Human Resources Manager to support HR operations across our hotel portfolio. This role is responsible for driving HR strategy, ensuring compliance with employment laws, managing daily HR operations, and fostering a culture of engagement and excellence. The ideal candidate brings strong interpersonal skills, are ethical mindset, and the ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution. 


 


Salary Range: $54,000 - $58,000 annually

As a Corporate Human Resources Manager, you will need to:



  • Provide HR guidance and support to all levels of the organization.

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.

  • Coordinate job postings across job boards and social media.

  • Assist with presceensing candidates and scheduling interviews.

  • Manage onboarding tasks including background checks, I-9's, new hire reporting, and documentation.

  • Develop and implement initiatives to boost employee engagement and retention.

  • Execute employee recognition and performance programs.

  • Generate and end birthday and anniversary greetings.

  • Interface between payroll and timekeeping systems; ensure data accuracy.

  • Learn and troubleshoot HRIS/time management platforms as needed. 

  • Support disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and investigations. 

  • Enforce company policies fairly and consistently.

  • Assist HR leaders with various HR projects and field support.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role, a professional demeanor, a warm, and welcoming personality, and ability to engage easily and actively connect with others is required. Must be genuinely caring, compassionate, and comfortable conversing with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and at all organizational levels. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Hotel management experience preferred and at least on year of human resources experience is a plus. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors. Positional requires periods of sitting a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds.
