Job Description - Human Resources Manager 3






Role Overview






Sodexo is seeking a Human Resources Manager to support Salem-Keizer School District 24J in Salem, OR. This role supports a large frontline team in a fast-paced environment. The HR Manager partners closely with on-site leadership to drive a positive culture, strong employee engagement, and effective employee relations. Success requires strong communication skills, client interaction, and the ability to build trust across all levels.

This role is hands-on and leads full-cycle recruiting while actively engaging with employees in the field. Knowledge of Oregon Sick Leave laws is preferred. Join a tenured, collaborative team known for its strong culture and commitment to developing talent.

What You'll Do






  • recruit and onboard frontline employees utilizing onboarding and payroll systems; 
  • possess knowledge of state and federal HR laws;  
  • maintain active and terminated employee files;  
  • coordinate and conduct required weekly/monthly/annual training for hourly staff;  
  • complete special projects based on business needs regarding human resources data and analysis

What You Bring






  • have 3-5 years of applicable experience 
  • possess knowledge of state and federal HR laws;  
  • possess excellent customer service skills for phone conversations and email responses; 
  • work well independently and as part of a team; 
  • understand and respect sensitive and confidential information; 
  • have excellent computer skills with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as the ability to learn additional computer programs and applications as needed;  
  • demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities and meet time demands.

Qualifications & Requirements






Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 2 years          

Minimum Functional Experience – 2 years in HR
