Job Description - Human Resources Manager

Our client is currently seeking an HR Manager to join their team in Newark. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in HR and at least 2 years of experience in human resources. This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals looking to manage all HR functions as a team of 1.

Responsibilities:Lead the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and facilitating the hiring process.Coordinate new employee onboarding and orientation programs, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.Maintain employee records and HR databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of information.Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and provide support on HR-related matters, such as benefits, policies, and procedures.Assist with performance management processes, including conducting employee evaluations and providing feedback to managers.Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.Address employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.Support HR initiatives and projects, such as employee engagement programs, diversity and inclusion efforts, and HR policy development.Stay informed about HR laws and regulations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.Manage other HR-related tasks and projects as needed.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required.SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources.Robust knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
