Job Description - Human Resources Manager
We are posting this position on behalf of one of our manufacturing industry clients. We are a retained search firm specializing in placing HR candidates.
This is a fully onsite role based at a location in Rockford / Loves Park, IL location. Full relocation is available for this position.
This key role leads diverse HR activities impacting the business at a major location, with broader impact across the organization. The HR Manager partners with business leaders to assess needs and adapt HR practices, accordingly, implementing strategic HR plans aligned with business and HR strategy.
Responsibilities:
Total Rewards: Communicate the company’s Total Rewards Philosophy, emphasizing pay for performance and an engaging employment value proposition.
Performance Management: Ensure consistent application of the global Performance Management Process, including goal setting and development planning.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure fair treatment of members and compliance with employment laws, managing broader business-related risks.
Member Relations: Resolve HR issues with urgency, considering broader impact on policies and practices.
Labor and Employment Relations: Foster positive labor climate and workforce culture.
Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging: Create an inclusive environment valuing members' unique contributions.
Learning and Development: Support performance enhancement and collaborate on member development and training.
Talent Management: Drive Talent Management Process, overseeing talent assessment, succession planning, and development planning.
Project Management: Support execution of Global HR strategic plan and lead global project teams.
Leadership Development: Develop HR and leadership staff, including performance management and coaching.
Continuous Improvement: Champion local HR Continuous Improvement projects.
Member Engagement: Monitor and promote member engagement, measuring effectiveness of actions taken.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
8+ years' experience in Human Resources in a Business Partnering capacity
3+ years' in people management leading high performing teams
2+ years' working in the manufacturing industry in an HR capacity strongly preferred
Strong organization, communication and conflict resolution skills
Experience with Merger & Acquisition activities considered an asset
