As the HR Manager, you will develop talent, organization and engagement strategies to ensure the HR function is at its strongest as we support the business priorities. To increase capacity and keep pace with the growing consumer demand for the products, General Mills made a significant investment to expand capacity for our beloved Fruit brands (Gushers and Fruit by the Foot). The plant has 450+ employees and supports both the MBS and Snacks Operating units with just under 500,000 sq ft of production and warehouse space. The Geneva HR Manager role has 4 direct reports and is a member of the Plant Leadership Team. This important role partners with leaders to drive culture, employee career development, performance management, calibration and retention. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Fiercely protect Geneva’s culture and continue to intentionally invest in making Geneva the place to grow your career Partner with business leaders across the organization to drive business performance using strong HR knowledge, change management expertise, and business acumen Talent management plan development and execution for individual development, performance management and succession planning Advance our engagement strategy and plan impactful events/connections/communications Coach and influence leaders Partner with HR COE specialists (i.e. Talent Solutions, Compensation, Change Management) to deliver against fiscal year priorities Provide input and help shape our Geneva Talent Strategy Counsel managers and employees consistent with GMI policies/practices, legal considerations, etc. Model GMI Values and Engaging Leader behaviors Leverage data and internal/external benchmarking to develop solutions MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree + 5 yrs related experience A strong background with generalist accountabilities required, including change management, leadership development, and organization design A track record of strong coaching, conflict management and influence up, down, and across the organization is essential Quickly instill trust and build relationships People first mentality Ability to operate with high autonomy and versatility- toggling between segment wide long-term strategy and roll up your sleeves, test and learn environment Experience leading and supporting strategic initiatives, influencing others, and driving results Proven ability to successfully influence and lead change in a variety of situations via various approaches including emotional appeal and interpersonal relationships Strong strategic mindset with demonstrated ability to translate the business agenda into HR strategy and lead all the way through execution Track record of managing through conflict Ability to deliver results through others without direct authority PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Masters in Human Resources/Industrial Relations or MBA preferred Proven experience working within a global function/matrix highly desired Strong data & analytics orientation ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS This position is in Geneva, IL. Salary Range The salary range for this position is $108900.00 - $163500.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
