Human Resources Operations Manager


$95,000-$120,000

QUALIFICATIONS


 


Experience



  • Public accounting firm experience required – 5+ years in progressive HR roles

  • Proven experience in multi-state compliance and regulatory management

  • Demonstrated expertise in compensation analysis and survey participation

  • Strong background in HRIS administration and data management

  • Experience with employee relations investigations and conflict resolution


Technical Skills



  • Workday experience required

  • Proficiency in HR analytics

  • Advanced knowledge of employment laws across multiple states

  • Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting

  • Experience with applicant tracking systems


Certifications



  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is strongly encouraged

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field

  • Master’s degree preferred

Working Conditions



  • Minimal travel required (approximately 15%)

  • Primarily office-based (3 days per week) with occasional visits to satellite locations

  • Standard business hours with flexibility during busy seasons

  • Professional office environment


RESPONSIBILITIES


Compliance and Legal



  • Ensure multi-state HR compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

  • Monitor changing legislation and update policies and procedures accordingly

  • Coordinate with legal counsel on employment-related matters

  • Manage regulatory reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions

  • Conduct compliance audits and implement corrective actions as needed

  • Maintain current knowledge of public accounting industry regulations affecting HR policies


HR Policies and Processes



  • Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive HR policy manual

  • Standardize HR processes across all office locations

  • Create and implement best practices for onboarding, offboarding, and retention

  • Involvement in development of competencies and revamp of performance management processes

  • Establish documentation standards and record-keeping procedures

  • Lead policy communication and training initiatives


HR Systems Administration



  • Serve as primary administrator for current UKG HCM platform

  • Strong involvement/Lead role with upcoming Workday implementation

  • Manage system configurations, user access, and data integrity

  • Generate and analyze HR metrics and reports for leadership team

  • Coordinate system upgrades, implementations, and integrations

  • Train employees and managers on HR system functionality

  • Ensure data security and privacy compliance within HR systems



    Employee Relations



    • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and grievances

    • Investigate and resolve workplace conflicts and disciplinary issues

    • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations matters

    • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives


    Leadership and Team Management



    • Supervise and mentor 1 direct report

    • Provide guidance on complex HR issues and decision-making

    • Coordinate HR team workload and project management

    • Foster professional development of HR team members
