Human Resources / People Operations Manager
Classification: Exempt

Compensation: $70,000–$75,000 annually
Work Arrangement: In-office, Dallas–Fort Worth area

Job Summary
The Human Resources / People Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing office operations and administering day-to-day human resources functions for the organization. This role serves as a key partner to the CEO, ensuring that people operations, workplace practices, and administrative systems support the organization’s mission, values, and compliance obligations.
This position is primarily focused on human resources management, with some operational support responsibilities as needed.

Office & Administrative Operations
- Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the office, including facilities, supplies, vendors, and administrative systems
- Oversee office technology, records management, and workflow processes
- Maintain organized and secure employee and administrative records
- Coordinate office logistics, schedules, and internal communications
- Identify operational issues and escalate concerns to the CEO as appropriate
Human Resources Administration
- Administer HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and employee records
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and workplace procedures
- Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, interview coordination, and new hire orientation
- Assist managers with performance management processes, documentation, and employee development support
- Coordinate training initiatives, including compliance and workplace education
Compliance & Employee Relations
- Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Assist with updating and implementing personnel policies and procedures
- Support intake and coordination of employee concerns in partnership with leadership and external advisors, as appropriate
- Promote a respectful, inclusive, and professional workplace culture aligned with the organization’s values
Leadership & Organizational Support
- Partner with the CEO on people operations planning and administrative priorities
- Serve as a steward of the organization’s culture by partnering with leaders and employees to foster an engaged, inclusive, and values-driven workplace
- Plan and support staff meetings and internal communications
- Represent the organization’s mission and values in daily operations and interactions

Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of office management experience in the nonprofit sector
- Experience with recruitment, onboarding, and training employees
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- General knowledge of employment and safety laws and regulations
Work Environment
- Indoor office setting with occasional outdoor exposure
- Frequent use of computer, keyboard, and mouse
- Moderate noise levels
- Occasional travel (less than 20% of the time)
