ASI is seeking a skilled and safety-focused HVAC & Chiller Technician to perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of refrigeration, air conditioning, chiller, and water-based systems. This role is responsible for monitoring and maintaining chiller operations, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring systems operate efficiently and in compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, troubleshooting ability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service in both routine and emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration, ventilation, air conditioning, chiller, and mechanical systems and equipment.
  


• Monitor chiller systems and perform preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure proper system performance.
  


• Conduct operational checks, inspections, system startups, and monitor temperature and water flow controls.
  


• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC and chiller systems.
  


• Identify maintenance risks and recommend corrective actions for equipment and systems.
  


• Clean, adjust, and repair HVAC and chiller systems, including warranty-related services.
  


• Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently, including after-hours support as needed.
  


• Maintain daily logs, maintenance records, and service documentation.
  


• Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training as needed.
  


• Ensure compliance with safety standards, work instructions, and customer requirements.
  


• Assist customers with service-related questions and support requests.
  


• Follow all company safety policies and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  


• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• HVAC Technical School degree or equivalent technical training.
  


• 3–8 years of experience in HVAC, refrigeration, chiller systems, or related skilled trades.
  


• Valid driver’s license with the ability to meet company driving requirements.
  


• Puerto Rico Licensed Refrigeration Technician certification required.
  


• EPA Universal Certification required.
  


• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, and chiller systems.
  


• Ability to use power tools, hand tools, materials, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
  


• Required to supply standard personal hand tools; company provides specialized equipment.
  


• Strong understanding of job site safety and ability to complete company safety orientation training (OSHA 30 preferred).
  


• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

• Frequent use of hands for grasping and fine manipulation.

Schedule and Work Hours

• Full-time position.


• Travel is required for this position.


• Reports to Service Supervisor.
