Job Description - HVAC & Heating and Cooling Technician

UCH is a Philadelphia-based property management company with significant real estate holdings in and around the Philadelphia metropolitan area. Our current portfolio consists of 4,000 residential units and 250,000 square feet of commercial space.

University City Housing is seeking an experienced and proactive HVAC & Heating and Cooling Technician to join our crew at a well-established large apartment community located in Bensalem. We are looking for someone who is hands-on, hardworking and has previous HVAC experience.

The HVAC & Heating and Cooling Technician will be involved in both the interior and exterior maintenance of our properties to ensure the companies' assets are protected.

HVAC & Heating and Cooling Technician duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Service, maintenance, troubleshoot and clean heating, cooling and ventilation units
Working directly with residents and team members to diagnose, assess and repair issues with HVAC, heating and cooling
Maintain Service Records
Ensure successful completion of assignments
Preventative Maintenance
Assist other trades personnel when needed, including: plumbing, general maintenance, snow/ice removal and other miscellaneous tasks or as directed by supervisor
Ability to install up to 3-ton condensing unit
The ability to install through the wall unit

HVAC & Heating and Cooling Technician Requirements:

5+ years of HVAC experience
EPA Certified
Ability to be a team player who can work independently with minor supervision as well as part of a team
Ability to prioritize urgent projects and working in a fast-paced and challenging work environment
Strong levels of communication (both written and spoken English)
Comfortable with smart technology and/or maintenance applications
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Must be comfortable with heights and ladders
Willingness to work on call and non-traditional hours
Willingness to complete background check
