This position is primarily responsible for maintaining the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (HVAC & R) equipment in a safe, pleasing and well-cared for condition to ensure a proper environment is provided for residents, staff and visitors.

High school diploma or equivalent, CFC Universal Certification, plus two years experience in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning & refrigeration field.Must be self-motivated and responsible in order to maintain the HVAC & R maintenance program.Must have the ability to understand and carry out oral and written assignments; ability to perform the duties listed in the job description with limited supervision.Self-motivated, able to schedule time wisely and accommodate changes.Must have a pleasant personality, enjoy working with people, have good manners and be able to deal tactfully with others. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.Strong work ethic, fast learner.Ability to work quickly and carefully in a safe manner, and motivate others to do the same.Physical demands: must be able to stand, walk, stoop, reach, lift, carry or handle light weight (1-25 lbs.) materials or equipment frequently. Must be able to safely operate all power equipment throughout the VMRC campus.Must report to work in uniform. This position also requires an acceptable DMV driving record to obtain authorization on the VMRC approved drivers list if driving a VMRC vehicle is required.
