Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated HVAC Design Engineer with 2+ years of experience in mechanical/HVAC system design. This role is ideal for an early-career professional looking to grow their expertise in designing efficient, code-compliant HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and/or institutional projects.
Responsibilities:
- Design HVAC systems including load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork, and piping layout using industry-standard software.
- Prepare construction documents including plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Perform energy analysis and ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and sustainability goals.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to coordinate designs.
- Conduct site visits to gather information and support construction activities.
- Assist in reviewing submittals and responding to RFIs during the construction phase.
- Support senior engineers and project managers with project planning and client communication.
$70,000 - $90,000 a year
