HVAC Installer Technicians - Commercial

Mako Industries is seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Installer Technician to join our team. 

The installer will be responsible for installing, replacing, and retrofitting heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in commercial buildings. This position requires a strong understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, replace, and retrofit commercial HVAC systems (RTUs, split systems, air handlers, VAVs, ductwork, etc.)
• Replace HVAC/R components such as evaporator/condenser coils, compressors, complete evaporator/condenser units, etc.
• Perform site inspections to gather material punch lists for installation.
• Perform start-up and system testing to ensure proper functionality
• Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Ensure installations are in compliance with local building codes and company standards
• Maintain assigned company vehicle.
• Provide excellent customer service to commercial clients

 Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred
• 2+ years of commercial HVAC installation experience preferred
• EPA Universal Certification required
• Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in varying environmental conditions (heat, heights, confined spaces)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Basic proficiency with digital tools (tablets, service software, etc.)
