HVAC Project Manager

Position Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for supervising installations, ensuring that installations are completed within time and budget constraints. The Project Manager is also responsible for supervising a team of Installation Mechanics and Helpers through mentoring and performance management.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-job walkthroughs and site inspections for new installation projects.


• Visit job sites daily to track and record progress of work.*


• Create a materials list for all projects and submit lists to the warehouse department.


• Informs customers of installation project scope and expectations.


• Support a team of Installation Mechanics and Helpers through 1 on 1 meetings, goal setting, and other coaching opportunities.


• Conduct pre-, middle-, and post-job meetings for all projects.


• Consult with Sales team on project scope and design.


• Visit job sites before project completion to confirm all equipment was installed according to plans and regulations.*


• Provide Hydronic and airside system layout for proper installations, providing diagrams when necessary.


• Report delays and any other project issues to the Installation Manager and work with them to resolve all issues.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; especially Word, Excel and Outlook.


• Must have a valid unencumbered Driver’s License and be willing to travel to job sites.*

Physical Requirements: 

• Must be able to maneuver around all areas of jobsite in all types of weather, including walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.


• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Education and Experience:

• Experience in HVAC installation is preferred.


• Management experience is preferred.


• Working knowledge of ServiceTitan or other CRM software is preferred.


• Ability to read and interpret blueprints a plus.


• Understanding of electrical wiring diagrams a plus.

*Due to the travel requirements, this position will be provided with a company vehicle.
