HVAC Project Manager - Construction

Description

We are seeking a qualified HVAC Project Manager with experience in commercial construction to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of HVAC systems on new build and renovation projects in Brownsville and the South Texas region. This role requires a leader who understands mechanical systems and can manage multiple job sites, budgets, and teams effectively while ensuring top-tier quality and safety standards. 

• Manage full lifecycle of commercial HVAC projects, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, installation, and closeout.
• Coordinate with general contractors, mechanical engineers, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. 
• Interpret HVAC designs, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.
• Ensure systems are installed to local and state codes, project specs, and safety regulations.
• Develop and track project schedules, forecasts, and budgets.
• Oversee field teams, ensure proper manpower allocation, and resolve job site issues.
• Prepare and submit RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor work progress and enforce safety protocols.
• Order materials and coordinate delivery timelines to keep the job on track.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, inspections, and job costs.
   

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC installation or service, with 2+ years in a project management role for commercial construction.
• Working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including chilled water systems, RTUs, VRF, split systems, ductwork, controls, and ventilation.
• Texas HVAC license (Class A or B) is preferred but not required.
• Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of building codes, OSHA requirements, and mechanical system design.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
• Field Work, office and job site role.
• Frequent travel to job sites in Brownsville and surrounding South Texas areas.
• May require early mornings, occasional nights, or weekends to meet project deadlines.
