HVAC Sales Manager

You’re the type who:

• Runs toward the fire when the sales board is light, margin is slipping, leads are messy, or performance is inconsistent. 
• Can tell the truth kindly and directly - coach people to results without drama.
• Believes grit and effort beats talent. 
• No shady close tactics, no high pressure games, no “say anything to sell”.
• Is extremely competitive - you are not satisfied unless you're winning every day. 

The Big Task:

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will drive sales goals for our HVAC sales team - this is a huge responsibility as the sales team generates a significant majority of our company's revenue.  What winning looks like - "A" player leaders like clarity, so here it is.  

In your first 90 days, you will:

• Build trust fast with sales, install, service, and operations
• Learn and be able to preform our sales operating system (cadence, pipeline discipline, KPI visibility)
• Improve follow-up speed + consistency (pending quotes, financing, invoicing)
• Identify coaching needs per individual and execute weekly development plans

By 180 days, you will:

• Keep the production board full through seasonal shifts
• Leverage strong process to improve close rate and average ticket without sacrificing ethics
• Improve gross margin through job-costing feedback loops and team behavior changes
• Develop future sales leaders within the sales team.

• Metrics-driven: You can build a scoreboard, inspect what you expect, and coach behavior—not just outcomes.
• Battle-tested: You’ve led teams through chaos, tough months, and staffing gaps—and you didn’t flinch.
• High-integrity: You protect customers and the brand even when it costs you in the short term. 
• Coach-first: You develop talent, have hard conversations, and keep standards high without creating unnecessary fear.
• Hands-on: We are looking for someone who loves being a "player-coach".  If you’re too scared to jump in, this role won't be for you.

• Must have strong selling skills (experience in transactional selling, in-home sales, or direct to homeowner/consumer sales is a plus).
• Possess the ability to inspire both personal and professional growth in team members.
• Ability to provide unparalleled customer satisfaction.
• Ability to drive team performance to achieve all business goals and objectives.
• Detail oriented and a highly organized multi-tasker with good presentation skills and the ability to convey confident, decisive messages in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient using a computer and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
