Job Description - HVAC Service & Sheet Metal Technician

Simco Mechanical, Inc. (Glendale, CA) has an opening for an experienced HVAC service technician with a minimum of 3-5 years experience in the HVAC or mechanical construction industry. SIMCO is located in Altadena and the work is throughout the Los Angeles, Orange County and/or Inland Empire areas.

Some requirements include:

Knowledge/experience of VRF units

Knowledge/experience with Daisy chain system for VRF’s

Ability to run/install refrigerant lines for both VRF and non VRF units

Run/install communication wiring from AC units to controls

Knowledge/experience of low voltage connections related to mechanical units and controls

Knowledge/experience of conducting start-ups

Experience in hanging all types ductwork including spiral, TDC, Ductmate, etc.

Install shop-fabricated duct work for commercial and industrial new construction

Do field fabrications and modifications of shop-fabricated duct work

Have knowledge of sheet metal applications in air-conditioning, heating, & ventilation

Experience in testing, balancing, adjusting, and servicing existing air-conditioning and ventilation systems is a plus.

Must adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times

Must have the necessary tools to conduct stated work and sheet metal installation

Experience:

HVAC: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

EPA Type II (Preferred)

Schedule:

Monday to Friday

Compensation: $45.00 - $90.00 per hour
