Job Description - HVAC Service Technician (Chiller Experience Preferred)

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing commercial and industrial HVAC systems, with a strong emphasis on chiller systems and large-scale equipment.

The ideal candidate has experience working in commercial environments, is confident diagnosing complex systems, and can work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, RTUs, and related equipment
Perform routine maintenance and emergency service calls to minimize downtime
Maintain accurate service logs, documentation, and work orders
Communicate clearly with customers regarding system issues and recommendations
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company standards and applicable codes
Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle in proper working condition
Follow all OSHA and company safety policies

Qualifications

3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience (industrial experience a plus)
Chiller experience strongly preferred (air-cooled and/or water-cooled systems)
Experience with large commercial equipment (boilers, hydronics, cooling towers) is a plus
Universal EPA Certification required
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
Clear communication and customer service skills
Attention to detail and commitment to quality work
