SUMMARY: A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. Maintenance Technicians are responsible for preserving the good condition and functionality of premises. You will perform maintenance tasks of wide variety such as HVAC service and/or installation assistance, troubleshoot issues and recommend and complete repairs and recommending replacement. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   ·         Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards ·         Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary ·         Maintain heating and cooling systems to ensure functionality ·         Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed ·         Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injury ·         Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned ·         Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed     QUALIFICATIONS:   To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   ·         Possess a Valid State issued Driver's License ·         High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus ·         EPA 608 Certification required ·         Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired ·         Technical degree or certification in a related field. ·         Experience in maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment. ·         Knowledge of HVAC systems. ·         Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. ·         Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. ·         Effective communication and interpersonal skills. ·         Proven experience as maintenance technician ·         Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
