HVAC Shop Assistant/Parts Runner

Ductworks HVAC Services is looking for a highly organized and dependable Shop Assistant / Parts Runner to take ownership of our HVAC shop operations and support our field crews. In this vital role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining a clean, efficient, and well-stocked shop — the heartbeat of our daily work. You’ll also deliver critical parts and materials to job sites when needed, ensuring smooth and timely service for our customers.

This position is perfect for someone who takes pride in organization, works well independently, and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Shop Management & Organization

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment


• Track tools, materials, and inventory daily


• Create systems for labeling, shelving, and managing supplies


• Prepare job kits and ensure crews leave with everything they need


• Receive deliveries and ensure all items are accounted for and stored properly

Field Support

• Deliver HVAC parts, tools, or equipment to job sites as needed


• Assist with loading/unloading vans and trucks for daily dispatch


• Perform occasional errands for supplies or materials


• Communicate with field crews to respond quickly to jobsite needs

Qualifications:

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail


• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record


• Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in warehouse and outdoor conditions


• Self-starter with a strong work ethic


• HVAC experience or knowledge of parts/tools a plus (not required)


• Comfortable with light inventory tracking (Excel or inventory systems)
