HVAC - Special Projects Installer

Position Summary:

Special Projects Installer, “Installer” is responsible for the efficient and correct installation of equipment and materials on Special Project Department jobs. Installers are required to be flexible and well versed in the installation of HVAC materials, equipment, and construction site safety.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in HVAC service and installation.


• Thorough understanding of most HVAC equipment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Install and start-up HVAC equipment and material.


• Installation of ductwork, exhaust fans, and HVAC Systems.


• Knowledge of HVAC hand tools used for trade.


• Comfortability working from ladders, lifts and scaffolding in a safe manner.


• Basic knowledge of the refrigerant cycle and electricity


• Ability to accurately field measure, cut materials to appropriate length and size


• Ability to perform material take offs


• Personal time keeping/time log


• Other duties as assigned

  Strong knowledge of principles of operation of air conditioning and heating systems, and safety practices concerning HVAC work.
