HVAC Technician

HVAC Service Technician 

EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED - Pay is based on experience.

· Perform startup of new HVAC equipment

· Service and repair of new and used HVAC equipment

· Rotate weekend emergency on call

· Clock in at first job and out at last job

· Communicate clearly with office dispatcher about work, incomplete work and reschedule

· Use the Jobber program for billable and non-billable service calls

· Bill residential customers and describe in detail diagnosis and repair of such

· Maintain clean cut physical appearance particularity for residential finish work

· Wear booties in any finished apartment or home

· Make sure company issued vehicle has oil changed and tires rotated every 5500 miles

· Keep van interior in a neat and orderly fashion to represent an organized Technician

· Gas receipts and material receipts logged in on app and hard copy receipts turned into the office

· All Freon and Braze rods to be procured from shop

Service and startup of HVAC equipment to include:

· Ensure clean filter is installed on every system

· Ensure safety overflow switch is installed on every system

· Low voltage installed in a neat and orderly fashion zip tie to line set and or run in 90 degrees

· Tube bends all copper at 90-degree right angles

· Braze in copper line sets using 1-2 psi of nitrogen while brazing

· Removal of stem to do deep vacuum down to 500 microns

· Insulate copper with clean cut ends all the way to service valves and AHU

· Wire in control wire to AHU and Outdoor unit - zip tie neatly to line set

· Reclaim any refrigerant that must be removed

· Invert 410A Freon tank when charging system

· 60 degrees and above - charge all systems to meet desired per chart superheat for fixed orifice using digital psychrometer to get indoor, return, wet bulb and outdoor ambient dry bulb, sub-cooling for TXV systems

Requirements:

· Minimum of 1 year of relevant HVAC experience (Preferred)
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· Two-year technical degree in related field (preferred).
· Must possess required registrations, professional licenses and/or certifications as required
