HVAC Technician

BSS Contracting Management LLC is seeking HVAC technicians to join our growing team in Florida. This role involves performing on-site HVAC services, including installation, maintenance, and repair for residential and commercial clients.

About the Role:

As an HVAC Technician at BSS Contracting, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for both residential and commercial clients. Your expertise will ensure our customers enjoy comfortable, energy-efficient indoor environments year-round while meeting our high standards of service and workmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of HVAC services, including:

• Installation of new HVAC systems (split systems, package units, mini-splits, etc.)
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues
• Performing preventive maintenance and seasonal tune-ups
• Repairing or replacing components such as compressors, motors, fans, belts, and thermostats
• Charging and recovering refrigerants in compliance with EPA regulations
• Ductwork installation, sealing, and repair
• Testing system performance and ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications
• Advising clients on system efficiency, upgrades, and maintenance practices
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area, tools, and service vehicle
• Accurately documenting work performed, materials used, and recommendations for future service
• Communicating professionally and courteously with clients and team members
   

• Requirements:

• Possession of personal HVAC tools and gauges is required for this position
• Proven experience in HVAC installation, service, and repair (residential and/or commercial)
• EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and work in various indoor/outdoor conditions
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Familiarity with smartphones or tablets for work orders and reporting
• Knowledge of HVAC safety standards, codes, and best practices
