HVAC Technician

Position Summary: 

Talent Source is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to support shipboard operations in San Diego. This position is ideal for individuals with prior shipyard or U.S. Navy experience, especially former Machinist Mates or Hull Technicians. The role involves diagnosing and repairing HVAC and air conditioning systems aboard Navy ships. Following a successful 90-day temporary period through Talent Source, the position is intended to transition to a permanent role with our client.

Key Responsibilities:

  Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair shipboard HVAC systems

  Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure systems meet operational efficiency and safety standards

  
  


• 
  

  Accurately document all work performed and maintain service records

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate with shipyard teams and adhere to all safety protocols

  
  

Required Qualifications:

• 
  

  Shipyard experience required

  
  


• 
  

  Former Navy experience (Machinist Mate or Hull Technician) highly preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Hands-on experience with HVAC systems aboard Navy vessels

  
  


• 
  

  Must be eligible for and maintain DBIDs access

  
  


• 
  

  Strong safety awareness and attention to detail

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to work in confined or elevated shipyard spaces

  
  

Salary Range: $28.00–$34.00 per hour (based on experience)
