Goldman Properties is seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician | Maintenance to join our team. The HVAC Technician will install, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial properties.

Compensation:
$ 21.00 - $22.00 an hour | Based on experience
Essential Functions:
Adhere to all work order policies and procedures.
Installed, maintained, and repaired ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
Identify maintenance risks on equipment.
Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
Clean, adjust, and repair systems and perform warranty services and emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
Provide technical direction and on-the-job training.
Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Comply with service standards, work instructions, and customers' requirements.
Maintain and repair all HVAC systems and equipment in laundry, kitchen, guestrooms, events areas, restaurants, offices, rental buildings, and public spaces as needed. Repair refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical fixtures to manufacturer’s specifications.
Communicate parts and materials needed to the supervisor in a timely manner.
Inform supervisor on job and project status.
Use and keep adequate parts, materials, chemicals, and supplies in supply carts.
Maintain work areas clean and organized.
Monitor life safety systems and respond to alerts as necessary.
Maintain chemical levels in automatic mechanical systems.
Maintain electrical carts.
Repair irrigation or sprinkler systems.
Remove and install water heaters.
Maintain proper storage and inventory of all supplies.
Practice preventive maintenance whenever possible.
Report all unsafe conditions immediately and attend all mandatory meetings.
Complete other duties assigned by the supervisor, including cross-training.
Requirements
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
2 - 5 years experience in commercial or institutional maintenance environment preferred.
HVAC, plumbing or electrical skills, light carpentry, knowledge of paint and wallpaper.
Preventive maintenance background preferred.
Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
Valid driver’s license preferred.
Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
