The Heart and Vascular APP Supervisor provides leadership to APPs within the department and collaborates with the cardiology and cardiac surgery faculty, APP Manager and lead APPs. The primary managerial responsibility of the supervisor is to provide professional support to the Heart and Vascular APPs at Parnassus and Stanyan, Lead APPs so there is alignment with the Heart and Vascular Center and UCSF Health The primary clinical responsibility is to provide clinical services cardiology or cardiac surgery inpatients.
UCSF Health requires all advanced health professionals to be credentialed through the Office of Medical Affairs and Governance to practice and function in their clinical role. This applies to HVC APPs in the inpatient clinical setting at all UCSF Health sites. Credentialing and approval of standardized procedures takes between 90-120 days and must be completed prior to the first working day.
