Division Specific Information:

  • This role is in the Single Use Division and will be performed at our Logan, Utah location.

How You Will Make an Impact:

As an HWC Trainee, you will manufacture, assemble, and package Bioprocess Containers in a cleanroom environment as part of the Hardware Consumables Team. You will safely carry out the production process by closely following the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instruction Documents (WID), blueprints, and drawings as they relate to assembly, material handling, equipment operation, and finished goods packaging. In this role you will complete trainings and work towards being an Advanced Technician on both the Assembly and Chambers areas of the HWC team.

Day in the Life:

  • Work towards completing the Advanced Technician trainings on both the Assembly and Chambers sides of the HWC team.
  • Work in a production environment where you will operate machinery, assemble tubing and connectors, and package and inspect products in accordance with blueprints and drawings.
  • Use various tools and equipment, including computers, calculators, measuring tools, assembly hand tools, Bioprocess Container machinery, and pallet jacks.
  • Follow safety standards, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) requirements, company operating procedures, and policies.
  • Ensure products meet quality standards by collaborating with other stations and departments to address quality errors.
  • Maintain accurate documentation as the task is being performed.
  • Participate in Practical Process Improvements (PPI) activities.
  • Work effectively to consistently meet goals as an individual and as part of a team.
  • Focus on personal development through timely completion of training.
  • Adhere to schedule to meet department and site goals while maintaining focus on quality of work.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support business and operational needs.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Maintain the Logan, UT Advanced Technician training for this department.
  • 1 year of previous work experience required.
    • Preferred Experience: Previous work experience in a cGMP environment, manufacturing, operations, production, or laboratory setting.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Competency in using computers, Microsoft Office products, and inventory management systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Read and understand written materials, including words, pictures, and numbers.
  • Accurate counting, sorting, calculating, and measuring using tools like calculators and tape measures.
  • Ability to understand chemical safety, including interpreting labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safety Standards.
  • This is a fully on-site role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment up to 12 hours a day with additional overtime as required.
  • This role is based in the cleanroom, which is a controlled environment. Cleanrooms do not allow hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, acrylic nails, perfume/cologne, piercings, lip balm, lotion, chewing gum, etc.
  • Some degree of Personal Protective Equipment is required including steel-toed boots, high visibility gear, safety glasses, cleanroom suit, hair/beard coverings, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.
  • The cleanroom is temperature controlled.
  • Ability to stand and walk for full shift, reach, bend, twist, stoop, push, and grasp while performing tasks.
  • Ability to use hand tools and equipment, including forceful gripping, grasping, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Loud noises (Equipment/Machinery).
