Job Description - Hybrid Tax Manager

HYBRID Tax Manager/ Sr. Tax Professional

ABOUT: Our client is looking to hire a Senior Tax professional or Tax Manager for their growing team! This will be a hybrid role, north of Milwaukee, with at least 3 days/week on site throughout the year, and will be full-time onsite during busy season. We encourage you to apply if you are outside of WI and are open to relocating for this position!


What you can expect from this role:

  • Tax Preparation: File accurate and timely returns for individuals and businesses.

  • Tax Planning & Consultations: Deliver proactive tax strategies for clients and financial advisors.

  • Tax Resolution: Handle notices, amendments, and other tax issues.

  • Team Leadership: Manage a small accounting team and seasonal staff, ensuring productivity and engagement (LMA approach).

  • Accounting Oversight: Maintain accurate financial records and reports for business entities.

  • Client Services: Manage a portfolio of clients for tax, bookkeeping, and payroll services.

  • Strategic Tax Advising: Collaborate with financial advisors on forward-looking tax planning and client onboarding.

  • Reporting & Metrics: Maintain monthly operating reports including budget, cash flow, and team performance.

Qualifications:
  • CPA certification (required)

  • Deep understanding of GAAP/IFRS and complex tax filings (individuals, S corps, C corps, partnerships, trusts, etc.)

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and financial reporting

  • Strong financial analysis, forecasting, and reconciliation skills

Compensation: $90,000 $120,000/year (DOE & credentials)
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts with flexible schedules outside of busy seasons
