Hydraulic Division Rotational Program

 The Hydraulic Division Rotational Program provides a structured pathway for recent graduates to accelerate their technical, professional, and leadership development while gaining hands-on experience with real-world customer applications and innovative technologies.

Over a three-year training and development program, participants will rotate through key areas of the business, which may include:

• Engineering Testing
• Quality
• Manufacturing
• Design Engineering
• Vehicle Systems Development
• Hydraulic Application Engineering

Through hands-on assignments, mentorship from experienced industry professionals, customer engagement, and cross-functional projects, participants will develop a comprehensive understanding of the product and system lifecycle—from concept and design through testing, validation, production, and field implementation.

The program is designed to develop the Application Engineering Leaders of Tomorrow, providing participants with the technical knowledge, systems-thinking capabilities, problem-solving skills, and customer-focused mindset needed to contribute to the development of next-generation hydraulic and electrified machine solutions.

Participants will follow a structured rotation schedule through major HYDAC functions. The program may also include an international rotation in Germany for approximately three months, providing valuable exposure to HYDAC’s global operations and engineering organization.

What You Will Do

During the program, you will:

• Complete hands-on assignments within multiple HYDAC functional areas.
• Gain exposure to engineering, manufacturing, quality, testing, and hydraulic application processes.
• Support cross-functional projects and initiatives.
• Apply engineering principles to real-world products and customer applications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Develop an understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Analyze technical information, procedures, professional publications, and applicable regulations.
• Develop reports, business correspondence, technical documentation, and procedures.
• Build effective working relationships with distributors, Regional Sales Managers, customers, and cross-functional teams.
• Develop technical and professional skills through mentorship, training, and hands-on experience.
• Take ownership of assigned projects and demonstrate initiative in identifying and solving problems.

To be considered for the Hydraulic Division Rotational Program you must have the following minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Familiarity with computer-based systems and software.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes and capabilities.
• Ability to analyze and interpret technical information and documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively across functions.
• Self-starter with a strong desire to learn, develop, and take on new challenges.

 Program Duration

This is a three-year rotational development program designed to provide broad exposure to HYDAC’s engineering, manufacturing, quality, testing, and application functions.

Salary

$75,000 per year to start, with opportunities for salary increases as you progress through the program.

Participants may be eligible for a potential salary increase after approximately three months, based on performance and progress within the program.
