Some Duties and responsibilities are:
Manage movement of all parts from start to finish in the shop
Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Responsible for posting all shop invoices
Managing credits and core charges weekly / monthly basis
Monitor vendor discounts
Communicate with staff, and vendors in a friendly and professional manner.
Work with vendors to get status update on all ordered parts pending
Check parts for any defects/damages
Follow up with vendors on all pending credits for returns
Develop and maintain productive relationships with all vendors for parts
Expedite parts and/or search alternative sources when obtaining specific parts is problematical
Oversee the receipt and storage of parts including the process of checking all parts orders and the parts themselves for accuracy and completeness
Assure that all parts are marked with the RO number and are stored or staged by job, and that the order status is clearly noted on all paperwork
Manage the dispatch of parts to technicians on a timely basis
Proactively return all unused parts and assure that credit is properly received and posted to the repair order
Proactively communicate with techs, and Estimator regarding parts status
Post all invoices & Credit Memos, as appropriate, in the computer or management system on a timely basis.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Detail-oriented, have a professional appearance and strong work ethic
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to lift 25 lbs and above regularly
