Role Overview

The past two years have marked a period of significant, positive growth for Brown RISD Hillel (BRH). Guided by an outside-the-box approach to student leadership and community building and a bold vision for the possibilities of Jewish campus life, BRH has emerged as one of the most vital and creative organizations in the national Hillel ecosystem.

BRH is known for bold innovation, deep relational engagement, and a culture of possibility. We are excited to launch a new, hybrid position that brings together two powerful areas of impact: immersive Israel engagement and student professional growth.

As IACT Coordinator for Mentorship and Networking, you will guide students on transformative Israel experiences while also launching a robust mentorship and career-exploration platform powered by BRH’s incredible alumni, parent, and professional networks. You will help Jewish students of all backgrounds explore identity, grow in leadership, and chart exciting personal and professional paths.

What You’ll Do

Student Engagement & Israel Experiences

• Recruit and prepare students for immersive Israel programs including Birthright Israel, Onward Israel, and BRH’s CHAI Fellowship.


• Oversee all aspects of BRH’s Birthright Israel trips: outreach, interviewing, pre-trip education, staffing, and post-trip engagement.


• Use Israel engagement as a powerful entry point to explore Jewish identity and community.

Mentorship & Networking

• Design and launch a new mentorship initiative connecting students with alumni, parents, and professionals across diverse fields.


• Curate meaningful career-exploration and networking events in Providence and key cities (NYC, Boston, DC, Tel Aviv).


• Support students in identifying passions, developing leadership skills, and navigating career opportunities.


• Collaborate with BRH’s Alumni Engagement Committee and liaise with alumni around the world to deepen the impact of our network.


• Develop systems and use data to strengthen outreach, track engagement, and assess impact.

Jewish Life & Program Innovation

• Build deep, meaningful relationships with Jewish students.


• Contribute to the creative energy of BRH’s vibrant Shabbat and holiday experiences.


• Identify what students are passionate about and be a valuable resource for them in all of their personal, professional, and academic pursuits.


• Contribute positively to the BRH team and culture.

On a day to day basis you will

• Have coffee with Jewish students in cafes around College Hill


• Connect with alumni around the country via Zoom


• Travel with TAMID or the Jewish Business Students Association to network with alums at a consulting firm in Boston


• Introduce students with alumni mentors via email


• Welcome students to BRH for Shabbat


• Partner with Brown and RISD career services to execute events


• Host pre-professional panels

• Bachelor’s Degree with relevant experience

What You’ll Receive

• Competitive salary in the non-profit marketplace. The salary range for this role is $55,000 to $65,000.
