Position Summary:

The ICU Department Supervisor is an experienced Registered Nurse who provides leadership, clinical expertise, and operational oversight for the ICU Unit.  Will supervise department personnel on a daily basis, ensuring that productive, cost effective, quality patient care is delivered, and the department meets performance improvement goals.  Will serve as a clinical expert, supporting staff and ensuring adherence to protocols for critical care.  Facilitates education and professional growth for ICU staff.  Reports to the Manager of ICU and ED.

Qualifications:

Requires Current California Registered Nurse license.

Current American Heart Association BCLS certification.

Current American Heart Association ACLS certification.

Prefer Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) National Certification.

Basic Arrhythmia Course Certificate.

Requires 3-5 years of ICU Clinical Experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or charge nurse role.

Leadership experience, with strong written and verbal communication and computer skills required. 

Demonstrated organizational, planning, leadership and coaching skills. 

Ability to develop and foster teamwork among co-workers and physicians.
