BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: These are seasonal limited period positions based within the Wildlife Division that will work from one of our various Regional Headquarters around the state. This is professional services and scientific work at the technician level, involving field work to support management of the State’s wildlife resources by protecting, preserving, and enhancing Maine’s natural resources statewide. This position will assist various Departmental Staff, other State Agencies, and the public to provide technical assistance for the resolution of human-wildlife conflict and wildlife disease surveillance. Work is performed under general supervision, includes occasional night and weekend work, and may be performed outside in all weather conditions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor’s Degree in a natural sciences field and six months of biological related experience. Comparable work experience may be substituted for education requirements on a year-for-year basis.

2. Summarize your knowledge and experience handling sick, injured, orphaned or diseased wildlife.
