Special Education Teacher – Resource Room

Location: Illinois

Grade Levels: 3rd–5th Grade

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a student-focused Special Education Teacher to join an Illinois school district, providing resource room services to students in grades 3–5. This full-year, full-time opportunity is ideal for an educator who enjoys creating individualized learning experiences, exploring effective teaching approaches, and empowering students to build confidence and succeed in the classroom.

How You’ll Make an Impact

In this role, you’ll deliver individualized and small-group instruction that addresses students’ unique learning needs and Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. You’ll reinforce core academic concepts, modify instructional materials, and use ongoing assessments to identify progress and determine where additional support is needed.

Collaboration will be an essential part of your work. You’ll partner with general education teachers, special education teams, related service providers, and families to coordinate student support and promote consistent learning strategies. You’ll also document academic growth, maintain student records, participate in IEP meetings, and communicate progress and instructional needs with the appropriate school personnel.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution and a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an LBS1 endorsement. Out-of-state special education licenses may be considered if eligible for Illinois reciprocity. Applicants must demonstrate strong instructional, classroom management, organizational, and collaborative communication skills, with prior school-based special education experience preferred.
