Illinois School Social Worker (Full-Time) 20252026 Academic Year

• Track and report student progress with accurate documentation.
  


• Participate in IEP development, annual reviews, and team meetings.
  


• Consult regularly with teachers, families, and staff to provide proactive support strategies.
  


• Lead Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and collaborate in Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) development.
  


• Deliver in-service training and resources to school staff and families to foster positive behavior and mental health strategies.
  


• Conduct student assessments, psychosocial counseling, and crisis intervention sessions in individual and small group settings.
  

Requirements

• Complete a 600-hour internship in a school setting.
  


• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
  


• Pass the Illinois Licensure Testing System (ILTS) School Social Worker Test.
  


• Strong collaboration, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  


• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Work endorsement.
