Job Description - Image Creator: Anime

This is a paid freelance, remote position

If you’re an experienced writer Image Creator, CBR wants you to join its award-winning writing team! CBR is the oldest and most respected comic book culture website in the world. It is the internet’s first and final stop for nerd culture, news, commentary and community.

Our team is looking for an eager and talented Custom Image Creator to provide vibrant and eye-catching images to showcase in our articles, social media, and other publishing platforms. The selected candidate must have great image manipulation skills and experience beyond just resizing and a keen eye for creative thumbnails/featured images.

What we are looking for:

Experienced in Photoshop or Illustrator
Skillful at blending and retouching images, fan artwork, and photos
Knowledge of Anime franchises: Dragon Ball, One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Avatar/Korra, Studio Ghibli, Sailor Moon, Isekai, Pokémon, One Punch Man, and Jujutsu Kaisen
Applicable experience in thumbnail/image creation for content
Speedy editing skills
Good visual narrative/storytelling skills in imagery
Basic manipulation skills including brightening, resizing, coloring, effects
Good sourcing instincts for image stock
Portfolio/examples of work

Responsibilities:

Produce branded content images
Add meta image text fields
Search hi-resolution images sources online
Adhere to strict copyright deadlines
Aid in creating/innovating on branded images
Collaborative work with our editorial team
