Imagery Scientist (SAR) Springfield, VA

Geo Owl is looking for an Imagery Scientist (SAR) to provide support to our client in Springfield, Virginia. The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:

•  Expertise as an Exploitation Specialist/Imagery Scientist (SAR) with a strong background in applied image processing and advanced radar imagery analysis.
• -Extensive knowledge of imaging radar physics, phenomenology, and phase history processing.
• -Proficiency in imaging radar analysis techniques, utilizing advanced image and signal processing methods to develop new signature and methodology.
• -Thorough understanding of sensor design principles and their impact on sensor performance.
• -Ability to develop automated solutions for data downloading and cataloging, support mission partner activities, and create non-literal processing methods for intelligence reporting enhancement.
• -Experience in producing change detection products and improving GEOINT analysis efficiency through computer vision workflows.

Basic Qualifications:

• Eight years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in image science, remote sensing, or related fields.
• 3+ years of experience in processing LIDAR data using tools like ArcGIS, QTModeler, and ENVI.
• -Active Top Secret with SCI clearance and willingness to obtain CI Poly is required
• -Expertise in processing and exploiting SAR data and proficiency in Python scripting within ArcGIS.

Preferred Qualifications:

• -Formal training and experience in remote sensing or earth science, with knowledge of IDL, Java, C++, VB, MATLAB, R, or other programming languages.
• -Proficiency in Google Earth Engine, ESRI ARC Services, Tableau, Web Services Development, and ArcGIS APIs.
