We are seeking a highly talented IXD (Immersive Experience Designer) to join our team in Houston. In this role, you will report to the President of Ether.
Your Impact: The candidate should be highly adaptable, having a diverse skill set and comfort level working in multiple media platforms. Capabilities should include illustration talents, computer generated renderings, animations, and the production of motion graphics in various forms for visual communication of the conceptual idea.
Lead in the development of design ideas, generate diagrams, digital models, presentation materials and provide production work for numerous project types.
Collaborate with architects and designers to ensure animations and renderings align with project objectives.
The candidate will work within a dynamic creative environment, providing high level conceptual realization of design work in a variety of image and media formats.
Manage and / or assist in preparing design presentations to clients, communities, and other pertinent stakeholders, including public agencies.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in 3D modeling and animation.
Here’s What You’ll Need: ***ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A PORTFOLIO AND RESUME TO BE CONSIDERED***
Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Architecture from an NAAB accredited program or related field.
A portfolio showcasing your 3D modeling, animation, and design skills.
Proficiency and working knowledge in 3D modeling & rendering in any of the following software applications: SketchUp, Revit, Lumion and Enscape. Strong understanding of architectural design principles and a passion for design creativity.
An eye for detail and creativity to bring architectural visions to life and contribute to the design process.
Approximately 3 years of experience in a related field.
Proficiency and working knowledge in digital image editing and layout using Adobe suite applications (photoshop, illustrator, InDesign). Video editing knowledge a plus Basic hand drawing and illustration skills.
Here’s How You’ll Stand Out: Proficiency and working knowledge in 3D modeling & rendering in any of the following software applications: Rhino, Grasshopper 3DS max, Unreal Engine, Vray, Grasshopper & computational design knowledge a plus.
Passion for exploring new technologies and techniques in 3D modeling, animation, and design.
