Job Description - Immigration Associate Attorney

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Why This Is a Great Opportunity

  • Join a boutique immigration law firm where you will own your caseload and make a real difference for individuals, families, and businesses navigating one of the most complex areas of law
  • Handle high-stakes, meaningful work — removal defense, asylum litigation, EOIR court appearances, USCIS interviews, and cases before federal courts — with real variety and depth
  • Work in a collaborative, client-centered environment where the team genuinely cares about outcomes, not just throughput
  • Enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid schedule — work from home up to 2 days per week (including days with court appearances when applicable), with a supportive team structure that trusts you to manage your time
  • Pro bono opportunities are available for attorneys who want to give back and broaden their impact
  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience, plus a full benefits package: medical, dental, paid time off, 401(k), and bonus pay
  • Join a growing practice with room to advance as the firm expands — your contributions are seen and valued here

Location: This role is based in Paoli, PA, with a hybrid schedule — work on-site most days with flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week, including on days when court appearances are scheduled. Candidates must be local or willing to commute to the Paoli/Main Line area.

Note: This role requires fluency in both Spanish and English (written and verbal). Candidates must hold a bar license in any U.S. jurisdiction and have at least 1 year of hands-on asylum and immigration litigation experience. Applications without these qualifications will not be considered.

About Us

We are a boutique immigration law firm focused exclusively on immigration law — business and family immigration, asylum, and removal defense. Our team is committed to providing individualized, compassionate legal representation to clients at every stage of their immigration journey. We handle complex cases before immigration courts nationwide, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and U.S. federal district courts, and we have extensive experience working with USCIS and U.S. Consulates around the world. Our clients trust us to turn a challenging, often painful process into an experience that gets them the result they deserve. We are a growing practice looking for a sharp, organized attorney who brings both skill and heart to the work. Confidential Employer.

Job Description

  • Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court (EOIR) and handle a full range of defensive and affirmative asylum cases from start to finish
  • Appear before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in naturalization and marriage-based interviews
  • Independently manage a high-volume caseload with minimal supervision, keeping matters organized and moving forward
  • Draft legal memoranda, briefs, motions, and other written work product
  • Meet with clients — including in detention centers — to provide updates, gather information, and advise on case strategy
  • Advise clients on complex immigration matters with clarity, professionalism, and compassion
  • Collaborate with firm leadership and staff to improve processes and contribute to a growing practice
  • Participate in pro bono matters as interest and capacity allow

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school; bar admission in any U.S. jurisdiction required
  • 1+ year of immigration litigation and asylum experience — affirmative and defensive — with the ability to manage cases independently
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English required (written and verbal)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with legal software; willingness to learn new platforms
  • Highly attentive to detail; calm and effective under pressure
  • More experienced candidates (2+ years) are strongly encouraged to apply — compensation is negotiable for the right fit

Why You Will Love Working Here

This is a firm where the work matters and you can feel it. Immigration law is personal — for the clients and for the attorneys who choose this field. You will be part of a tight-knit team that works hard, supports each other, and genuinely cares about the people they represent. You will have real responsibility, real variety, and the opportunity to grow — including through pro bono work that keeps you connected to the broader mission. If you want a role where your skills, your language abilities, and your compassion are all put to use every day, this is it.
