Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Immigration Court Paralegal to join our team. In this role, you will provide support to our immigration team and assist in Immigration Court Matters and other areas of immigration processes. Requires prior experience with immigration Court (non-detained) in Houston and Texas. Paralegal must know about various forms of relief, including, Asylum; 42A/B; Prosecutorial Discretion and Adjustment of Status by Judge. This position involves legal research, conducting client interviews, e-filing documents of EOIR portal, and assisting in overall immigration court preparation and other immigration visas and adjustment of status. The ideal candidate is punctual, hardworking and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

Prepare case-specific immigration applications

Collect and organize documents, including biographical info

Ensure that case-related documents are well organized and available for review

Conduct legal research and investigation

Provide general administrative support

Communicate with clients and witnesses

Prepare the attorney for court sessions and record important information

Maintain and update documentation

Assist with case preparation

Qualifications

Previous experience as an Immigration Paralegal

Knowledge of USCIS forms and applications

Certification or Associates Degree is a plus

Familiarity with legal procedures, terminology, and the court system

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Highly organized with document management experience

Excellent research skills

Comfortable Microsoft Office and case management software

Ability to multitask and work well under pressure

Compensation: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
