Job Description - Immigration Manager

Job Summary

  • Manage immigration processes from initiation through completion, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable requirements.  
  • Handle a variety of employment-based immigration applications and related casework with strong attention to detail.  
  • Independently assess complex immigration matters, identify potential issues, escalate appropriately and recommend appropriate next steps.  
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, employees, outside counsel, and other relevant parties to move cases forward efficiently.  
  • Maintain accurate immigration records, case documentation, timelines, and status updates.  
  • Monitor immigration deadlines, process milestones, and required filings to ensure timely completion.  
  • Navigate ambiguous or complex immigration scenarios using strong judgment, research skills, and practical problem-solving.  
  • Support process improvements that increase efficiency, consistency, and visibility across immigration case management.  

Qualifications

  • Prior experience processing H1-B, TN, F-1, H-4 and Green Card applications, including autonomous completion of the PERM process. 
  • Ability to independently manage complex immigration cases from start to finish with minimal hand holding.  
  • Strong understanding of employment-based immigration processes, documentation, and compliance considerations.  
  • Proven ability to navigate nuanced or gray-area immigration issues with sound judgment and professionalism.  
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, internal teams, and external partners.  
  • Preferred experience as a paralegal or immigration professional within an immigration law firm handling a broad range of application types.  
  • Preferred 3-5 years of immigration experience
