Implementation Specialist

Summary

The Implementation Specialist assures the Teaching Family Model and other models as requested are implemented in program settings to fidelity. In coordination with the Implementation Department, the specialist assists in the development and support of direct care staff to enable them to provide effective treatment to youth and families throughout agency programs, which includes staff and program observation and assessment, per assigned service delivery schedules.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct regular individual and program observations and provide regularly scheduled written and verbal feedback to meet development needs of program direct care staff as outlined in service delivery schedules.
• Responsible for monitoring the implementation of comprehensive Person-Centered Plans, all treatment components for clients, behavior support plans, including the consistent implementation of the motivation system and other client information related to the Teaching Family Model.  
• Provide modeling and developmental assistance for program phone consultation and in-person crisis support intervention as needed.
• In coordination with the Training and Implementation Manager, provide training to direct care staff and others during pre-service training and in-service training. Provide developmental assessment and feedback to trainees during role play activities.  
• Participate in the recruitment, screening and interviewing of new direct care staff.
• Conduct program evaluations for other departments.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Implementation 

• As a member of a cross-functional team, conduct program assessments.  
• Collaborate with program leadership in the development of individual employee staff development plans, ensuring the opportunity for staff to work towards mastery of the Teaching Family Model and other models.
• Participate in requested staff coaching sessions. 
• Serve as co-trainer, participation in pre-service/in-service training, present sections of pre-service training and/or in-service training topics. Support co-trainers and conduct training observations.  
• Facilitate ad-hoc consultation meetings. Conduct formal meeting observations to ensure agency best practice standards are being executed.  
• Provide consultation development services to program staff in accordance with agency policies, Teaching Family Association standards, other initiatives, and individual staff supervision plans.
• Collaborate with program leadership to develop consultation schedules for programs, to include frequency of written conceptual feedback for practitioners, and consultants. Review and critique consultation documentation.  
• As requested, assist with debriefing critical incidents and disruptions in programs. 
• Consult and assist staff in Behavior Support Planning with the aim of establishing competency within the individual programs. 
• Assist the Evaluation Manager in the evaluation and certification of program staff.

Education and Experience Requirements

Qualified Mental Health Professional Status required and Teaching-Family experience and certification desired.

Bachelor's degree required, Masters preferred.

• The employee must occasionally travel to different locations in the course of work.

Salary expectations 

• New employees are generally hired at the midpoint of the posted salary range. However, the exact salary may vary depending on factors such as qualifications, internal equity, and the budget allocated for the role.
