Import/Export Agent - Rapid Progression

We are looking for an immediate long-term contract opening for an Import Export Agent in Los Angeles, CA for our client in a Cargo facility.

The ideal candidate is an ambitious & detail-oriented individual that can perform in a faced paced warehouse cargo environment, under supervision.

• Responsibilities:
• Processes export & import inquires as per client requirements and procedures such as processing of discrepancies at acceptance, preparation and finalization of outbound flights/trucks & handling of import documentation (delivery, transfer and abandoned shipment)
• Processes all Air Waybills and HAWBs and ensures accurate data capture as per client’s requirements and procedures
• Handles Special Cargo
• Initiates invoicing, accepts cash payments
• Performs Service Recovery activities (i.e. tracing, warehouse checks, offload) & Airmail Handling
• Fully supports the quality standards
• Works according to documented CHM and GOM procedures
• Observes and applies the security requirements of the client and local authorities
• Contacts customers, inform them of any/all irregularities

Requirements:

Education: GED/High School desired Experience

Work Environment:

Office Setting- Working with others

Shift:

Need to be flexible with schedule

Overtime Available

Essential functions:

Stand or Sit - Stationary position - Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

Walk Move - needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access invoices, office machinery, etc.

Constantly operate a computer & other office productivity machinery such as a computer, calculator, copier, and printer.

Talk/Hear- The person in this position frequently communicates with employees to give instructions. Must be able to exchange accurate

information in these situations.
