About the Role:
As a PRN on-call caregiver, you will have a big impact on ensuring essential care services are provided to elderly clients in their homes when they need it. You’ll receive weekly, daily, and hourly pay. PRN on-call caregivers must be available during agreed timeframes for one week to accept fill-in and PRN shift assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, safety/mobility support
- Assist with medication reminders, light housekeeping, and meal preparation
- Engage clients in meaningful activities and companionship
- Document and report any changes in client's condition to the care manager
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for clients
- Ensure highly reliable care service
Requirements:
- Be on call for a week at a time. Must have availability during agreed to time frames. (7a-7p, 7p-7a, and/or weekends)
- Prior experience in caregiving for elderly people
- Valid driver's license and reliable insured transportation
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team
- CNA Certification is a plus
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus
