Job Description - Incident Management Specialist

Dragonfli Group is a cybersecurity and IT consulting firm providing services to federal agencies and Fortune 100 enterprises. Headquartered in Washington, DC, Dragonfli supports clients in securing mission-critical systems across on-site, hybrid, and fully remote environments.

 

As an Incident Management Specialist, you will support emergency management, incident response, physical and cyber exercise planning, and operational preparedness activities for a large commercial enterprise. You will help develop and update Emergency Operations Plans (EOPs), Incident Response Plans, escalation procedures, mutual aid coordination processes, and operational response frameworks, working closely with emergency management stakeholders to strengthen organizational response capabilities. You will bring familiarity with HSEEP exercise methodology and knowledge of the Incident Command System (ICS) and National Incident Management System (NIMS) to support incident management readiness across utility-style operations.

 

This posting spans early-career through mid-level professionals, from approximately 1 to 3 years of experience up through 5+ years. Compensation and level of responsibility will be commensurate with the experience the selected candidate brings to the role.

This is a contract position involving a large commercial enterprise in the energy sector. Candidates with previous consulting or contracting experience are preferred. U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required. If hired, all work related to this role must be performed within the continental U.S.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and update Emergency Operations Plans (EOPs) and Incident Response Plans
  • Draft and refine escalation procedures and operational response frameworks
  • Support mutual aid agreement coordination processes across stakeholders
  • Plan, support, and help facilitate HSEEP-aligned tabletop and functional exercises
  • Contribute to physical and cyber security exercise planning
  • Collaborate with emergency management stakeholders to improve incident management readiness across operations
  • Apply Incident Command System (ICS) and National Incident Management System (NIMS) principles to incident management planning and documentation
  • Support after-action review development and continuous improvement of response plans

Must-Have

  • Relevant emergency management / incident response experience matching the years-of-experience band structure for this role (posting spans candidates with up to 3 years through 5+ years of experience, depending on level)
  • Experience developing and/or updating Emergency Operations Plans (EOPs) and Incident Response Plans
  • Familiarity with the Incident Command System (ICS) and National Incident Management System (NIMS)
  • Familiarity with HSEEP exercise methodology
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically to client site (i.e., central United States) for onsite exercises, incident response planning sessions, and stakeholder meetings
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency
  • Ability to perform all work related to this role within the continental United States

Preferred

  • FEMA IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, and/or IS-800 certifications, or equivalent ICS/NIMS training
  • Prior experience in the utility, critical infrastructure, or energy sector
  • Experience coordinating mutual aid agreements
  • Prior consulting or contracting background
