Reports To: Inclusion Manager

Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt

Location: LA County (West Covina Office) 

Hours of Operation: 9:30am-6pm Weekdays

Hourly Range: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

What We Do:
Woodcraft Rangers provides TK-12 expanded learning programs, including before and after school, specialty enrichment, and summer learning. In the past few years, Woodcraft has expanded its menu of services beyond traditional afterschool programs and summer camps to include early learning, environmental and social justice, college access, and inclusion services for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Additionally, we offer LifeCraft, a college and career advancement program to support the development of approximately 2,250 staff. Today, Woodcraft Rangers serves more than 30,000 youth ages 4 to 18 each year across 150 plus Title I schools in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties, and continues to expand its reach.

Role Overview:
The Inclusion Coordinator plays an important supportive role in advancing inclusive programming across Woodcraft Rangers’ afterschool, summer, and camp programs. Reporting to the Inclusion Manager, this individual works closely as their right hand to help ensure consistent implementation of inclusive practices, staff training, and student support strategies. This hybrid position involves regular site visits, office-based coordination, and some remote work.

Responsibilities:
Staff Coaching & Support
• Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and support to Inclusion Specialists and Aides.
• Model inclusive practices during site visits and support staff in applying strategies in real time.
• Follow up with staff to reinforce strategies and support consistency.
• Develop, support and co-facilitate trainings focused on inclusion, behavior as communication, and proactive supports.
Program Coordination
• Coordinate the day-to-day deployment of Inclusion Specialists and Aides based on site needs.
• Maintain consistent coverage across sites by responding quickly to staff call-outs and coordinating appropriate replacements.
• Support the intake and prioritization of inclusion requests.
• Partner with the Inclusion Manager to ensure services are delivered effectively across sites.
Quality & Consistency
• Support consistency in how inclusion strategies are implemented across sites.
• Identify trends or areas where additional support may be needed and share insights with leadership.
• Maintain clear and timely documentation of site visits, coaching, and support provided.
Collaboration & Inclusive Practice
• Work closely with Program Leadership and Site Teams to align supports with site operations.
• Support collaborative communication between school-day and afterschool teams to promote consistency.
• Contribute to the development of inclusive practices, resources, and tools for staff.
• Support staff in recognizing and building on student strengths, preferences, and motivators.
• Analyze daily log data to identify students ready for phase-out of inclusion supports, establish clear transition timelines and staffing plans, and communicate expectations and progress with program partners.
• Participate in monthly partnership meetings and maintain frequent ongoing communication with partners
• Provide feedback and input to the Inclusion Manager and Director of Inclusion based on staff feedback and field observations.
• Ensure compliance with safety, training, and certification requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills:
Required:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 to 3 years of experience in Inclusive Education or programming with Diverse Communities, Special Education, ABA, or related fields.
• 2 to 3 years of experience working with youth in educational or recreational settings.
• Familiarity with Universal Design and Behavioral Support frameworks.
• Deep understanding of Inclusive Education strategies and Disability Awareness.
• Strong organizational and logistical coordination skills.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to support and coach staff in inclusive practices without direct supervisory responsibility.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate partner and staff communications efficiently and professionally
• Comfort using a smartphone and other technology for work (Wi-Fi and cell phone stipend provided).
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s Degree or Certification in Special Education, ABA, or related field.
• First Aid, CPR, and CPI certification (can be provided by Woodcraft Rangers).
• 1–2 years of experience in a lead role, supporting staff development logistics, and team coordination.

● Frequent standing/ walking is required during working hours
● The ability to travel across the Greater Los Angeles area, using either a car or public transportation, is necessary several times a month.
● Regular use of hands for various tasks, such as operating a computer and handling objects, is essential.
● Must be able to occasionally lift/move up to 40 pounds.
● Reasonable accommodation is available for individuals with disabilities.
