At Aspire, we believe in empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live full, inspired lives. We’re currently seeking a Life Consultant who will serve as a trusted partner, advocate, and guide for the people we support , helping them pursue their goals, build independence, and thrive in the community.

This is a person-centered role that combines case management, advocacy, strategic planning, and relationship-building. You’ll work in close partnership with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support meaningful life goals and ensure each person’s voice and vision are at the center of their journey.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Service & Case Management

• Lead the development of individualized support plans based on formal assessments, personal goals, and strengths.
• Facilitate person-centered meetings, monitor progress, and adjust plans as needed.
• Ensure services are delivered according to plan timelines and document all interactions accurately.
   

Advocacy & Community Engagement

• Advocate for each person’s dignity, independence, and self-determination.
• Link individuals to community-based services, resources, and supports.
• Support participation in Aspire’s group events, workshops, and social activities.
   

Collaboration & Communication

• Serve as the main liaison for families, guardians, Aspire staff, and community partners.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation in each person’s electronic record.
• Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
   

Program Leadership & Development

• Support program outreach, recruitment, and continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Participate in ongoing training and maintain certifications in CPR, First Aid, Abuse/Neglect, and Aggression Management (training provided).

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least one year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in virtual meeting tools and Microsoft/Google applications.
   

Preferred Qualifications

• QIDP certification or eligibility.
• Experience in coaching, curriculum development, or group facilitation.
• Familiarity with support planning, goal tracking, and community-based services.
