Independent Living Sales Counselor
Full-Time | Salaried
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with occasional evenings and weekends required for events, seminars, presentations, and prospect engagements.

This Role
The Independent Living Sales Counselor is the primary point of contact for Independent Living prospective residents and their families. The mission of this role is to cultivate meaningful relationships, provide exceptional customer experience, support future growth initiatives, lead management and sales execution.
Responsibilities
Customer Experience
- Ensure a seamless experience from initial inquiry through move-in.
- Serve as a resource for prospective residents and families navigating senior living options.
- Respond promptly to prospect inquiries and requests for information.
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure smooth transitions and a positive customer experience.
- Promote and uphold Dow Rummel's mission, values, and reputation in all interactions.
Prospect and Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate prospect records and sales activity within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Manage assigned prospect pipelines and execute timely follow-up communications.
- Monitor lead conversion metrics and recommend strategies to improve performance.
- Prepare reports and forecasts related to occupancy, deposits, prospect activity, and sales performance.
- Identify opportunities to shorten the sales cycle and improve prospect engagement.
Occupancy and Sales
- Meet or exceed occupancy and deposit goals for Independent Living.
- Conduct discovery meetings to understand prospect needs, preferences, and motivations.
- Conduct community tours and follow-up visits with prospects and families.
- Develop and execute individualized follow-up strategies to accelerate decision-making and move prospects through the sales funnel.
- Maintain waiting lists and reservation lists as applicable.
Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with the Executive Director of Sales and Marketing, Sales & Marketing Manager, Admissions Coordinator, and Marketing Coordinator to align sales and marketing efforts.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, hospitality, healthcare administration, or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of two years of sales, customer relationship management, hospitality, healthcare, senior living, real estate, or related experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and guide customers through complex purchasing decisions.
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for serving older adults and their families.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple prospects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM software, and data management systems.
- Ability to analyze sales activity and maintain accurate prospect records.
- Self-motivated with strong time management and follow-through.
