ABOUT CASCADE:


Cascade Community Healthcare (CCH) has been providing treatment services to Lewis County and surrounding areas for more than 50 years. Our mission is to provide our clients with compassionate and encouraging counseling leading to a renewed sense of hope and the ability to make positive changes and live more satisfying lives. Cascade currently has six treatment locations in Lewis County.


 


We are looking for an Individual Resiliency Training Specialist (IRT) (Clinician II), to join our New Journeys Team. The New Journeys team works collaboratively with the individual experiencing psychosis as well as their family and/or other natural supports, to provide state-of-the-art treatment for first episode psychosis. As a treatment team, you have a responsibility for instilling hope in an individual’s ability to recover from a first episode of psychosis, helping them establish and work towards personally meaningful goals, and providing the best treatment available for their illness for them make progress towards the lives they want to lead.


 


SHIFTS AVAILABLE:


Day Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm



PAY SCALE:


$32.29 - $39.36 / Hour. DOE.




EDUCATION AND CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Master’s degree in counseling or the social sciences required.

  • Must have Associate License credential (LMHCA, LMFTA, or LICSWA) or Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor (LAAC) credential or eligible to obtain LAAC; LAAC also requires two years of supervised experience.



OTHER QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:



  • Must be able to pass WA State Patrol background check. A national background check may be required if have not lived in WA state consecutively the last three years.

  • Must comply with agency policies and procedures.

  • Must have a valid driver's license.

  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.

  • Must have satisfactory driving record.

  • Must be able to gain access to all types of buildings and residences regardless of the structures’ handicapped accessibility or lack thereof.

  • Must maintain current phone number and mailing address with the Human Resources office.

  • Experience in co-occurring disorders treatment, individual and group therapy, vocational services, or substance abuse treatment preferred.

  • Capacity to work well with children and families.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Provide treatment coordination services for an assigned group of clients, including coordinating and monitoring the activities of the individual treatment team (ITT).

  • Assume primary responsibility for collaboratively developing, writing, implementing, evaluating, and revising overall treatment goals and plans in collaboration with the client and the ITT. Use recovery-based concepts and language in both written and verbal communications.

  • Provide individual therapy and symptom management using Individual Resiliency Training, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for psychosis, Illness Management and Recovery, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, and Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment.

  • Clinician will assist with providing culturally competent, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and measurement-based care for clients on the first episode psychosis team.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessment of psychiatric history (e.g., onset, course, and effect of illness, past treatment and responses, and risk behaviors), mental status and diagnosis; physical health and dental health; use of drugs or alcohol; education and employment; social development and functioning; activities of daily living (e.g., self-care, living situation, nutrition, money management); and family structure and relationships.

  • Document client progress to maintain a permanent record of client activity according to established policies and procedures.

  • Participate in daily staff organizational meetings and treatment planning review meetings.

  • Participate in providing information to clients on substance use issues such as the effect on mental and physical health and daily functioning. Participate in planning to reduce use or abstain from the use of substances and help teach replacement behaviors.  Establish linkages with outside inpatient, outpatient, and support group entities (e.g., AA, NA) to allow collaboration in treatment. 

  • Provide and coordinate outreach and crisis intervention services to clients as necessary.

  • Assist and support clients in finding and effectively using a primary care physician and a dentist. Work with team to coordinate psychiatric care with medical care.

  • Plan, structure, and prompt social and leisure time activities, to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Provide individual services for current and newly assigned clients while in inpatient programs, to ensure continuity of care.

  • Monitor assigned clients for LRA compliance. Facilitate LRA extensions with the Mobile Crisis Team (MCT) and all court-involved personnel to insure LRA's are continued uninterrupted, as appropriate.  Assist MCT in determining when revocation is appropriate.

Must be at least a 0.5 FTE (20 hours per week) to be eligible for all other benefits.

  • Cascade reimburses the cost of Department of Health licensure renewals and other certification renewals that are required for you to do your job (DEA, CPR/BLS, etc.).
